Address: Sauråsbakken 5131, Nyborg, Norway
Åsane gamle kirke (Åsane old church) is a church from 1795 in Åsane in Bergen, Hordaland county. It is located in Sauråsbakken below Saurås gård.
There has been a church in the same place as early as 1598. The stone church as we know it today was consecrated by Bishop Johan Nordahl Brun. In the 1800s, several modifications were made.
The church was set on fire (of Varg Vikernes and Jørn Tunsberg) and burned down on Christmas Eve 1992. It
was rebuilt as a true copy of the original stone with new wooden furniture and was reconsecrated on the 19th November 1995 by Bishop Ole Danbolt Hagesæther.
